What is the Midwest Regional Championship Series (MWRCS)?       Back to the Top
The Objective of the MWRCS is to encourage participation within the region and to provide recognition for participants and champions. The MWRCS is open to all National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) Members of the Midwest Region (MWR) that earn Regional Championship Points. Those qualifying for the MWRCS receive a Qualifier patch at the Midwest Region Party/Awards Banquet the following Spring. The winners of the MWRCS Events also receive their Awards at the Banquet.

When and Where is the MWRCS held?       Back to the Top
The dates of the MWRCS are determined at the annual Sanctioning Meeting. Unless preempted by a National Governors meeting or the National Convention, the MWRCS is held on the 40th full or partial weekend of the year. No Rain Dates are allowed for the MWRCS.

How is it determined which Club or Clubs will host the MWRCS?      Back to the Top
(2010 Change) Clubs interested in hosting the MWRCS should announce their interest at the first Governors meeting of the calendar year and must present a written bid to the Regional Competition Director (RCD) by March 1st. If no written bids have been submitted to the RCD by March 1st, the MWRCS results will be determined by an alternate method, using the points earned in all MWR sanctioned events throughout the season.
       1. Concours: Greatest number of total points earned per class, not including travel points.
       2. Rallye: Greatest number of total points earned in Rallye events, not including travel points.
       3. Autocross Class: Highest average points earned per class, not including travel or bonus (FTD) points.
       4. Autocross Group: Highest average points earned per group and sub-group as defined by the current year’s NCCC rulebook., including Bonus or FTD points.
For the alternate method, competitors must still meet all qualification criteria as shown below under How do I qualify for the MWRCS? The RCD distributes information regarding the Bid and Alternate Method calculation to all Midwest Region Clubs through their Governor by March 15th. Governors will vote between either the Bid or the Alternate Method. Each Club gets One (1) vote. Voting results will be announced by the RCD no later than April 5th. The MWR Officers administer the MWRCS and all MWR Governors assist in the organization and execution of the MWRCS. Refer to the MWR Standing Rules for additional details.
