What is the Midwest Regional Championship Series (MWRCS)?       Back to the Top
The Objective of the MWRCS is to encourage participation within the region and to provide recognition for participants and champions. The MWRCS is open to all National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC) Members of the Midwest Region (MWR) that earn Regional Championship Points. Those qualifying for the MWRCS receive a Qualifier patch at the Midwest Region Party/Awards Banquet the following Spring. The winners of the MWRCS Events also receive their Awards at the Banquet.

When and Where is the MWRCS held?       Back to the Top
The dates of the MWRCS are determined at the annual Sanctioning Meeting. Unless preempted by a National Governors meeting or the National Convention, the MWRCS is held on the 40th full or partial weekend of the year. No Rain Dates are allowed for the MWRCS.

How is it determined which Club or Clubs will host the MWRCS?       Back to the Top
Clubs interested in hosting the MWRCS should announce their interest at the first Governors meeting of the calendar year and must present a written bid to the Regional Competition Director (RCD) by March 1st. The RCD distributes information regarding the Bid to all Midwest Region Clubs through their Governor and sets the date and manner of voting. Each Club gets One (1) vote. The MWR Officers administer the MWRCS and all MWR Governors assist in the organization and execution of the MWRCS.

How do I qualify for the MWRCS?       Back to the Top
The Sanctioned Events listed on the Midwest Region Schedule of Events are the Events used to earn points toward qualifying for the MWRCS each year. You must enter, Chair or Co-Chair a minimum of any five of these Events through the September Cutoff date to be considered for the MWRCS. You must further qualify to participate in each type of event to be held and each of the events requires a specific point accumulation. Points are per NCCC Championship Points rules. No travel, worker or chairperson points count toward qualifying for any type of event.
You may qualify in each type of event. Points needed to qualify are:
Concours – The points must all be earned in the same class and the number of points varies by class.
    Wash & Show – 12 points
    Street Show – 16 points
    Concours Prepared - 18 points
    Modified - 18 points
    Custom - 18 points
    Race Prepared – 18 points.
You may be qualified in more than one class in Concours, but you must declare only one class when you pre-register for the MWRCS. Peoples Choice Concours Championship Points do not count towards qualifying for Concours.
Rallye – 12 points – Both driver and navigator must be qualified.
Low Speed Autocross – 25 points - The points must all be earned in the same class. Points for Matching Times count only if held in conjunction with a Speed Event. You may be qualified in more than one class in Autocross but you must declare only one class when you pre-register for the MWRCS.

How will I know if I am qualified for the MWRCS?       Back to the Top
After the September Qualifying Cutoff Date, if you have qualified for participation in the MWRCS, the RCD will send you an invitation to participate in each event in which you are qualified. You will also receive a Flyer outlining the MWRCS and a Pre-Registration form. You must pre-register by the deadline and pay all Entry Fees to participate.
